Series: VDT-CU Column Units |
The Column Air Units manufactured by AIR ZONE were developed for a market need in high-rise buildings where under floor comfort air systems are required. The product design was achieved for the specific requirements of Hines Interest, a world wide Developer of commercial office space with home offices in Houston, Texas. Energistics Laboratory a division of Cerami & Associates out of New York independently tested the product design to verify a maximum NC 40 that was requirement of Hines Interest.
The project wherein the Column Air Units were first applied is the ABN AMRO bank building in Chicago Illinois. The project provided an order for more than 100-units during 2003; from Mechanical Contractor F. E. Moran of Chicago. The design engineer was Enviromental Systems Designs, Inc. also in Chicago.
The Air Zone Column Unit is available in seven different models ranging in capacity from 3,000 to 18,000 CFM. All units are VFD controlled and employ the latest technology in direct drive ultra-quiet plenum fans. All units are standard with a roll out fan assembly for easy service. The compact design of the product allows the required mechanical room to be only a few inches larger than the unit itself.
